This is a personal blog written and edited by Emma Hoop, with a focus on beauty-related topics. Manicurity started as a nail art focused blog but has branched into other beauty topics including cosmetics, skincare, hair, etc. If it has to do with nails, beauty and/or blogging, it has a place on Manicurity! For questions about this blog, please contact me - manicurity (@) gmail (.) com
The content of this blog is based on my personal experiences and opinions. I am not a professional photographer and I am not a certified nail technician or other professional beauty expert; I am simply sharing my advice and opinions based on my own personal experience.
Some of the products I adore, you might hate and vice versa. I am not liable for any problems that you encounter from trying an item that I have written about, and you should contact your doctor if you have any issues with a product.
This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. Please see the detailed sections about each below.
This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.
The owner of this blog is not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owners. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
No Warranty of Products
Manicurity makes no warranties as to the effectiveness or quality of any product. Reviews are based on personal experience and personal opinion. Individual user’s opinion may vary. Comments concerning reviews from users about their experiences are encouraged and welcome.
This site accepts products for review from brands and public relations representatives. Receipt of a product does not constitute a contract for a published review of the product. Manicurity does not guarantee favorable reviews and does not do paid positive product reviews. Reviews are done based on a long testing period and honest, balanced assessments of the products. Review content is not pre-approved by PR representatives or brands. Products that wish to impose such limitations will not be accepted for review without compensation and disclosure as a sponsored post. If you are interested in being featured on Manicurity, please view the Product Review Information page which outlines more details about feature guidelines.
Advertorial or Sponsored Posts
Manicurity does occasionally do advertorial or sponsored posts, and all such posts are disclosed as being ‘advertorial’, ‘partnered with’, ‘brought to you by’, or ‘sponsored’ in the post. They also feature a ‘button’ at the beginning of the post (see below section of ‘Disclosure Buttons for more info).
Affiliate Links and Advertising
Manicurity makes use of compensated affiliate links, and they are often distinguished with a ‘button’ at the beginning of the post and an asterisk by the particular invitation or affiliate link to a particular company. A commission is earned when a product is purchased using such a link, which helps to support the site. Manicurity is also supported by paid advertisements and uses Amazon affiliates, Skimlinks and Google Adsense on the site. Currently Skimlinks automatically adds affiliate links in posts.
Disclosure ButtonsIn accordance with FTC guidelines, Manicurity discloses pertinent post information at the top of each post, as well as multiple times in the post (beginning, after any claims, and at the end of the post). Please refer to the button definitions below for further information; if there is no buttton, it indicates that I have nothing to disclose and everything was purchased by me.
Press Sample Press Sample - This button indicates that the post contains products sent for review consideration by PR representatives or brands. My commitment is to honesty, and because of this, products sent for review consideration do not influence the content written on this blog.
Affiliate Link(s) Affiliate Link - This button indicates that the post contains an affiliate link. Purchases made via affiliate links provide tiny commissions to me but do not affect the purchaser's end of the transaction.
Sponsored Post Sponsored Post - This button indicates that the post has been sponsored. All links in sponsored posts carry rel=nofollow tags.
I only use affiliate links to companies that I love, and I only do sponsored content with brands I believe in.
Comments left by readers do not reflect the views of the author of the blog. PLEASE refrain from leaving a link in your comment unless it directly pertains to the post on which you are commenting. Comments with unrelated URLs are subject to editing or deletion. If you would like for me to check out your blog, please contact me on a social media network instead!
I delete spam comments, i.e. ones that legible but totally unrelated to the content of the post.
As with anything that is opinion based, I understand that you might have a different experience than I do with the same product and am totally happy with you wanting to comment about it, but please don’t be rude.
