Nothing to Disclose
Today I have a freehand nail art design for you inspired by some beautiful Peruvian textiles! Peru is one of many countries I would love to visit; I've got a long list of places I need to see. The Parts Unknown episode featuring Peru was fantastic - I love living vicariously through Anthony Bourdain's travels while watching that show.
I was inspired to do some freehand linework based on some traditional Andean textile design elements. I love that the slight uneven-ness of my painting looks more realistic to the woven threads of a textile! I used some of the design examples from the Threads of Peru website as an example (click here to visit their website). Altho my color choices are not historically accurate, I love these colors together!
From left to right in the photo above: OPI Kiss Me on my Tulips (hot pink creme), Orly Purple Pleather (a matte purple creme I should use more often), Revlon Top Speed Electric (shimmery yellow), Misa Dirty, Sexy, Money (a faded teal creme I love), and Zoya Purity (amazing 2-coat white creme). My favorite nails in this manicure were the purple and teal ones!
