The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag - GREED!

The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag - GREED! Manicurity's favorite high end (Hourglass) and low end products (Wet n' Wild) - and her most expensive HTF polish, too! | Manicurity.com

Hello hello! I am so excited to start this lil mini series using The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag's questions as weekly prompts. The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag is a fun set of questions that relates the seven deadly sins (duhh) to different aspects of beauty and makeup - like, say, what is your most expensive product? Or which thing are you usually too lazy to use daily? I'm even writing some of my own original questions to include more specific nail topics :D Today we're starting off with greed!

Greed

1. What is your LEAST expensive beauty item?

There are so many hidden gems in the Wet n Wild line that hover at $.99 - and can be as low as $.69 on sale! I really love the Silk Finish Lipsticks (vibrant and moisturizing for less than a dollar? Yes, thank you!), the Color Icon Eyeshadow Singles (Nutty is one of my Holy Grail eyeshadows), and the Wet Shine nail polish line has a variety of nice standards cremes as well.

All of these swatches are just ONE SWIPE with medium pressure (like the amount of pressure I would use on my lips)! Isn't that awesome?! Depending on how pigmented your lips are - mine have a fair amount of pinkish color naturally - even the more sheer looking shades like 520E can be one-swipe opaque. [PS. These do have names, too, but some of the labels only list the number and not the name]

Below I'm wearing Nutty on my whole lid, but the purple-r side of this shadow is showing near the lash line where I have packed it over smudged black liner. It looks like a warmer taupe in the crease where I've blended it out. On my waterline I'm wearing my HG drugstore eyeliner - Jordana Easyliner in Sea Green!

2. What is your MOST expensive beauty item?

My most expensive beauty item is my Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Dim ($45)! I do have some palettes that are more expensive, but I figured my Hourglass powder is truly the most expensive thing in my collection right now because it's just one item - and you could technically argue that an eyeshadow palette is a deal if you divide the price of the palette per eyeshadow [because I certainly do justify my eyeshadow palettes that way!!]

Here's my 'Greed' face! I'm wearing my favorite low end and high end products mentioned in this post!! On my lips is Wet n' Wild Silk Finish Lipstick 508A Black Orchid, same eye look with Nutty as above, and Hourglass Ambient Powder in Dim all over to set my makeup.

BONUS QUESTION

What's the most you've paid for a HTF (hard to find) polish, and what is it?

At one point in time I felt like my Lynnderella wish list had to be completed, so in the panic of "Oh no Llarowe might drop Lynnderella and how will I get them?" I paid [what felt like at the time] an obscene amount of money to get my hands on the last thing on my list - Attitude Adjust-mint. I did pay more than her polishes currently sell for on eBay, sadly, but not by too terribly much. And you know what? I still haven't even used Attitude Adjust-mint!

Please share your favorite high end and low end products with me in the comments! Or the story of your most expensive HTF polish splurge; I would love to know.
