Stanley Cup Playoff Canadiens vs. Bruins Watermarble Nail Art!

 Nothing to Disclose

Hello and happy weekend my lovely turtledoves! Today I have another recent water marble experiment to share with you - this time inspired by two teams currently playing each other in the Stanley Cup playoffs - The Canadiens vs. The Bruins. My boyfriend is a huge hockey fan and I've been converted into one recently, too!

First I painted a nice, white base with two coats of Zoya Purity. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the formula and coverage was with this white polish since sometimes they can be so streaky and tricky. After topping it with quick dry I went to town marbling a color palette that matched each time on opposing colors - The Canadiens on my left and The Bruins on my right.

Go Habs go! The Canadiens team colors are red, white, and blue. I took a chance and water marbled with a glittery polish and it worked really well!

The Bruins Watermarble

I had a little bit of a tougher time with this palette of polishes for some reason - not sure if it was because I was tired after doing the first hand or if the slightly shimmery formula of these polishes wanted to dry out faster.

I think now that I've mastered the smaller cup watermable situation (read about that in my last water marble nail art post here!), I'm hoping with enough attempts/practice I can successfully do more recognizable patterns on more than one nail. I do enjoy the unpredictable, abstract-ness of my current water marble abilities

Are you a hockey fan? And/Or do you have any tips for me about water marbles?!
