Friday Five | 5 Colorful Things I'm Currently Craving

I've been internet window shopping and these are a few of the colorful items that are at the top of my OMG Lust List right meow. I'm a sucker for rainbow-y things so I desperately want all of these things and need approximately none of them >.< Plus I keep seeing people rave about these on blogs and ugh, want so hard.

Friday Five | 5 Colorful Things I'm Currently Craving = Deborah Lippmann 80s Rewind, Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette, Lumina Lacquer Prism, Marc Jacobs The Siren, Nyx Macaron Lipsticks | Manicurity.com

  1. Deborah Lippmann 80s Rewind Polishes ($18) - I don't need these but I want these so hard! I love love love my DL Lara's Theme which is an almost-one-coater orange creme polish and I am pretty constantly telling people that it's worth the $18 price tag for a formula so nice. So obviously I am desperately tempted to get a few of these even though they aren't remarkably 'special' colors. See All Lacquered Up's swatches here.
  2. Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette ($49) - I already own too much eyeshadow and only two eyes (the shame)! Plus I own a lot of bright neon-ish colors with Sugar Pill palettes and some other indie items, but the things I own are MATTE brights and this palette is shimmery brights so that's different enough to need both, right? RIGHT? See a great review from one of my fave keeping-it-real beauty blogs Brightest Bulb in The Box here - she does some amazing looks with this palette!
  3. Lumina Lacquer Prismatic ($10) - Literally every glitter in this is holographic. It's a rainbow of rainbows. And there are GLITTER TRIANGLES. *grabby hands*
  4. Marc Jacobs Style-Con No.7 Plus Shadow The Siren ($59) - IT IS A RAINBOW. I love this palette because I would actually use every shadow, not like when I get a palette with 20 shadows and think "Oh well I like 4 of them and so that's a good deal". If you break down the cost per shadow at $8.40 per color mayhaps this Marc Jacobs palette seems a little bit more reasonable? Maybe? I wish it wasn't limited edition! Anyhoo, it scores well enough to be a 'Temptalia Recommends' product over at Temptalia (obvs) so I want it extra much.
  5. Nyx Cosmetics Macaron Lippies ($5.99) - Ridiculous shades of lipstick at a cost that's like a third the price of Lime Crime? Yes. Yes please. I know eventually I will buy almost all of these - which is great because they're permanent! Yay! See swatches of all of them at Vampy Varnish here and see how useful they are for layering over at Nouveau Cheap here.

Are any of these on your want list right now, too? Let me know in the comments below!

  3. the DL's are nice, I'm wearing the orange on my toes, it's a crelly, two thick or three thin coats, the yellow is three to be non streaky and the purple is the best I've ever worn. The others not special, just nice

    1. Good to know!! Thank you Elizabeth! I wish they weren't limited edition for summer because I would like to pick up a few eventually. Oh well, perhaps I'll spring for the orange and purple :D

  4. I caved and bought the Electric palette and it is by far as amazing as everyone says. It really is worth it, especially if you like me have been eyeing it since its release! I feel like I am set for color eyeshadow for the rest of my life….or at least until it goes bad ;)

When everyone raved about the Lolita palette, I caved and bought the purple version. I have to admit I was less than impressed with it. The colors were chalky, had minimal payoff and did not blend well. Since I had such bad luck I was not too thrilled about this newest release. I have heard great things about the other beauty products in the line though!

    1. I am super happy that the UD palette is permanent because I know I will probably get it eventually anyway >.< Probably whenever there's a nice Friends and Family discount at Sephora or Urban Decay :p The Marc Jacobs rainbow palette would be tougher for me to swing, but at least Sephora has a nice return policy if the texture doesn't work for me. Bummer the purple Lolita palette didn't live up to they hype :(
