The Digit-al Dozen does Texture: NOPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams + Mixed Metals

Hey y'all! I am so excited because it's that time of the month again - time for The Digit-al Dozen! AND we're so lucky to have added a few new members to our group starting this month. Our theme for April is 'texture' so I am really excited to pull out some of my more obscure nail art supplies haha. Today I'm showing you the very beautiful Nicole by OPI Gumdrop polish Cinna-Man of My Dreams with some mixed metal, gradient stamping. Check 'em out!

The Design

I've been really intrigued by mixed-metal jewelry designs lately, so I thought it would be beautiful to mix metallic polishes over such a snazzy, glittery texture polish! The results are OK. Sometimes I think it looks beautiful, like the details of a wire wrapped pendant or something! But then sometimes I also can't help but think that I basically did slightly-fancy Spiderman nails... The texture polish even looks a little like the mesh on the Spidey suit!! WHOOPS!

The Polishes + Supplies

My base color was 3 coats of Nicole by OPI Gumdrop polish Cinna-Man of My Dreams - I could have done just 2 but wanted to make sure my VNL was really well covered!

For the stamped design I used Barry M Silver Foil, Essie Good as Gold and Penny Talk (from the chrome collection) and overlapped them a little to make nice transitions when I stamped the image. The stamped image I used came from the top of the DRK-A plate - the line-y pattern.

Don't forget to check out the other texture nails for today below!! What a fun week!

Disclosure: I bought all the things mentioned! If you'd like to know more about my policies, please see my disclosure page.
