The Digit-al Dozen does Brands: Pollo Tropical Nail Art

Moving right along with the Digit-al Dozen theme this month of 'brands', today's design focuses on another Miami-centric restaurant which is making my stomach growl! Today I'm sharing some fun and bright nails with a relatively simple color palette inspired by the delicious restaurant Pollo Tropical! I'm loving this loud nail art on my short nails :)

What is Pollo Tropical?

Literally 'Tropical Chicken' in English, Pollo Tropical serves up mega-delicious freshly grilled, marinated chicken with other Cuban cuisine for an insanely low price (like $4 for a huge combo platter). There is almost always a wait to get your food because they are incredibly popular, but I've never been disappointed! I am incredibly thankful that I don't have a Pollo Tropical too close to my house as I would probably eat most of my meals there >.<

About This Design

I only used 3 polishes for the majority of this nail art! My two middle nail designs are inspired by the palm tree logo, which I freehanded in Revlon Electric (yellow) over CND Green Scene (green base color) with Fingerpaints Primary Color (red) as half-moon accents. My gradient nails are also Revlon Electric and CND Green Scene, sponged over a quick single coat of white polish to make the polishes pop. I love the bold, graphic designs and colors on my shorter, rounded nails. So fun!

I freehanded the Pollo Tropical chicken character with acrylic paints(not sure if he has a name? It's hard to look up 'pollo tropical chicken' and expect to get info about the cartoon chicken, and not the food!). I am generally pleased with how he came out, even though his nose/beak is a little off!

Don't forget to check out the other Digit-al Dozen designs for today in the gallery below!

Disclosure: I bought all the things mentioned! If you'd like to know more about my policies, please see my disclosure page.
