Neon Stripe Mish-Mash Nails inspired by Work Play Polish

Today's nail art is inspired by Leslie of Work / Play / Polish and it has taken me like 234084 hours to get done (hence why it's like Saturday night and I am posting this fabulous manicure that people might not see). It is HARD trying to be Leslie!! I took inspiration from two of my favorite recent manicures from her - these neon french tips and these fabulous striping tape stripes.

Sadly Leslie is leaving The Digit-al Dozen and we're making a big to-do about it because Leslie IS AMAZING and we are all bummed out about it (see the fabulous send off blog post on The Digital Dozen website > here <). Leslie is amazingly creative, patient, talented, and fabulous and her blog has some of the most drool-worthy photos on the entire interwebs. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to get to know her better through our monthly nail art challenges in the group because she is a huge inspiration to me. She's definitely the sort of nail blogger I would love to be when I grow up :p

I used most of the same colors as Leslie, but made some substitutions where I didn't have the same original polish. Plus I wanted to blend the two designs, so instead of using pink and green on my striping-tape striped nails, I used the same yellow and blue from the other two nails!! I used a base of Cult Nails Tempest (white) on all my nails, then Nails Inc. Baker Street (blue), China Glaze Sun Kissed (neon yellow), China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (grey), and Zoya Raven (black).

Please check out the other 'farwell' manicures below and don't forget to read the blog post on TheDigitalDozen.com!!

PS. I took these photos out on my patio just for fun today and not totally sure how I feel about them. Better, the same, or worse than usual?!
