The Digit-al Dozen Does it Again: Love & Heartbreak - I ♥ This Pattern

Trotting right along with our 12 days of nail art with the Digit-al Dozen ladies this month to celebrate our one year anniversary, today we're tackling the theme from February of 'Love & Heartbreak". I thought I would do an adorable heart print pattern in different colors to show both sides of our theme. Check 'em out!

At first I struggled with the tiny hearts because I was trying to use a brush, but eventually I found that using a needle-shaped dotting tool worked best for me to help draw the hearts, and really push/drag the polish into the heart shape. Much like with my other dot manis, I found this pretty easy to do and very easy to get really into once you start going! I think it's cute, but I do wonder if it would have been even more cute had I done every other nail instead of two and two? And/or if I should have done all of the nails in half like my thumb?! But oh well, ideas for another time!

For the happier "love" nails my base color was butterLondon Muggins (lilac), the hearts were OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips (pink), and the tiny dots were Orly Pure Porcelain (very light pink-toned creme). For the darker nails my base was Orly Decoded (blue-toned grey), the hearts were China Glaze Red Velvet (red), and black creme (I used a Claws Halloween black polish).

Don't forget to check out the other Love & Heartbreak nail art for today and the $200 gift card giveaway if you haven't entered yet! Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday for another 6 days of NAIL ARTZ!
