April's 2nd Tri-Polish Challenge: SPLODGE it UP!

This week for the Tri-Polish Challenge I'm serving you textured realness! Can you tell I've been watching too much RuPaul's Drag Race...? Anyway, it's true - both of my Tri-Polish Challenge manis this week are alllll about easy, gorgeous effects you can get by layering your polishes. Because of the difference in finishes between my three TPC choices (a hidden shimmer, jelly, and a glassfleck), there's lots of cool texture happening. Check it!

For this 'technique' (it's really hard to even call it that, but whatevs), I did skittle bases staring with Riveting on my pointer, then Fuchsia Fanatic, Custom Kicks, and Riveting again. Then I just used a makeup sponge and smooshed a bit of all my TPC colors, some white, and some gold all over randomly. And that's it; just patting some polish on with a sponge in different places. It's sort of like doing galaxy nails, except a smidge more fun because you're not trying to make it look like anything specific!! If I were to do this again I would only alternate between either the pink OR orange and turquoise because the pink nail next to the orange nail looked just a little too similar to me.

If this looks a little familiar, that's because it's the base to my butterfly watermarble nails from the April Digit-al Dozen week. The 'splodge' is a great base for stamping, striping tape, butterfly watermarble wings, etc. and so so so easy to do.

Hope you liked it! Now check out the other Tri-Polish Challengers below
