When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.

I've got some nails inspired by the different house banners from A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin for today's 'inspired by a flag' prompt. For some reason I've been doing really alright with stamping lately, and I like this mani so much better than the other Game of Thrones/Ice&Fire mani I did during the 31DC last year. These nails are mostly based on characters that are introduced a little later in the different books, so I won't give much away beyond letting you know what part of Westeros they're from.

From pointer to pinkie my nails represent:

• House Martell, the ruling house of Dorne. Dorne's coat of arms is a sun on an orange field with a spear. I just went with a sun stamped over and over with no spear so mine is a lot less violent.
• House Tyrell, the principle noble house in the Reach which seats at Highgarden. The Tyrell coat of arms is a golden rose design on a green field and I nailed it (ha, get it, nailed it?!)
• House Tully, another prinicple noble house - this one is located in the Riverlands. The Tully coat of arms is a silver trout on a blue and red striped field. Mine is like a fancy goldfish/trout combo, but I like it anyway! 
• House Arryn, located high in the mountains in the Vale. The coat of arms is supposed to be some sort of bird with a crescent moon on a light blue field; mine is more like a dove-eagle hybrid...but  it stamped pretty well! Yay Konad polish!

I'm really pleased with these! This manicure really shows my progress in so many ways - painting, stamping, and photography.
