TGIF: Lacquistry Whadya Gelt for Hanukkah?

This week's TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! is 'Whadya Gelt for Hanukkah?' from Lacquistry. According to the official description, Gelt is "a stunning mix of fine gold, medium gold, and large gold holo hex’s accented with bright pops of electric blue mini and medium hex." The large holo glitters in this polish are super pretty! The holo glitters can look a little bit bent, but it's just the light reflecting off the surface. Also just thought I would mention, the gold holo glitters appear teal because I was wearing a teal sweater :3

I've included a semi-awkward photo to show you that the large holo on top corner of my middle finger isn't curly; it definitely lays flat on my nail!

I dabbled one coat all over my first two nails and sort of swiped a little down half of my other two nails; the base color is two coats of Sinful Colors Hot Spot. This polish is super pretty and sparkly! I love the mix of glitters in Jenna's polishes; they are always really interesting and complex, with a good proportion of sizes, colors, and shapes between all the different glitters in the bottle. If you've never tried an indie brand before, I highly recommend Jenna from Lacquistry; her customer service is beyond any other brand of basically anything I have come into contact with, polish or not.

Now I'm curious, do you have this polish? Love it, hate it, meh it? My boyfriend really likes it :p

Lacquistry polishes are available at her Etsy store ($8.75). You can view updates and new colors on the Lacquistry Facebook page. This particular polish is seasonal for winter, so if it's not still in the store, look out for it perhaps returning next year and on blog sales (I like checking polishsale.livejournal.com personally).

Don't forget to check out Kirsten's TGIF post over at Geeky Owl!

  1. Ooh! It's really gorgeous and I'm not a huge fan of gold! :)
