Digit-al Dozen x TGIF: Different Dimension Doppelganger

Don't worry, I did more than just swatch an awesome indie glitter for this week's round of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!  This week's polish is called 'Doppelganger' from indie brand Different Dimension. The official description from the Etsy listing is "Doppelgänger is a dark grey jelly base polish with different sizes, shapes and shades of pink and white glitters." It's also part of the Vampire Diaries collection, which is pretty cool because I'm sort of a secret fan of TVD.

I layered 1 coat of Doppelganger over 1 coat of SH Greige on my pointer and pinkie, then did two generous coats of Doppelganger over bL's Nail Foundation, which eliminates a good amount of staining and VNL but gives my nail a peach/nude tint. Sadly, my bottle of this polish is not really tinted 'dark grey' and I was disappointed, but I emailed Missi, the creator, and she was very sweet and responded quickly that she would replace my bottle!! Which is really amazingly nice of her :D

Then I sammiched all of my Doppleganger nails with a thick coat of the grey OPI jelly from the Ballet collection, My Pointe Exactly. The jelly sandwiching helped, but My Pointe Exactly is very light and blue-toned. I liked the sandwich combo, but it was sort of hard to photograph. Anyhoo, a nice end to the Love & Heartbreak week! I think these are my most delicate/girly nails from the week.

Don't forget to check out the other Digit-al Dozen posts this week!!

Now I'm curious, do you have this polish? Love it, hate it, meh it? I'm sad to say I meh it; I wish the base was a lot more tinted, because that's why I bought it in the first place! But I'm getting a replacement bottle - YAY!

Different Dimension polishes are available at the DD Etsy store ($8.50 for most polishes, $10 for the holos). You can view updates and new colors on the Different Dimension Facebook page.
