Alright, let's all strap in for a quick cheese-fest, k? Today is Valentine's Day and I did what any normal nail art blogger with a boyfriend would do - a set of skittles dedicated to her bf. Oh wait, is that not a thing? Too bad! It is now! Let's take a look.
My bf of almost four years is a manly man that wears plaid and has a beard, obviously. I think he's probably not thrilled I used such hilariously neon colors for the stripes, but I wanted to play with the opacity of the plaid stripes with jelly finish polishes. Side: he says he doesn't have an 'Easter' shirt like the neon plaid I made, but he says he's not opposed to one! I used CC Chelsea Girl, Milani neon yellow, and one of the red OPI Texas sorbets (technical info, obvs). My ring finger is an adorable little dotted beard on top of CND's Perfectly Bare. My middle finger is a single dabbled coat of Candy Lacquer's Love-ly Lavendar (lovely, indeed!) over my favorite blue evar, Pure Ice French Kiss. How much do I love Pure Ice French Kiss? So much so that I bought two brand new bottles of it the last time I was at Walmart because it's supposedly discontinued. I will probably buy more whenever I see them again in the future because my love for this perfect toned, one-coat blue is that serious. My grandchildren will wear Pure Ice French Kiss I will have so many extra bottles!
Anyhoo, it's awkward and weird for me to talk about my boyfriend sometimes without making it sound insincere because I am being cheesey... but I love him a bunch and am very happy & thankful that we are both best friends 4ever AND in wuv. He's really nice, smart, talented, and makes me lattes in the morning and I like all those things. Plus he is fun to hang out with, nice to our guinea pigs, and watches silly TV shows with me! ALSO sometimes he helps me pick which photos are better for the post and he'll always take at least five seconds to look at a particular nail art design or new bottle of polish. Yay!
Now check out the other Digit-al Dozen designs for today!
Yay love! Valentine's Day was almost more fun when I was single, tho, because my parents would give me candy, presents, and a card and that was really nice. Boyfriend and I almost always have something less than awesome happening on VD (a math test, work, etc.) so we often just cook a semi-fancy dinner together, which is lovely but not quite what I imagine single people imagine Valentine's Day to be. Hope you're having a lovely day!
