31DC X Digit-al Dozen Does Love & Heartbreak: Vampy Heart Half-Moon Mani

I think this is the longest post title to date on the blog... Anyhoo, I am happy to present to you another fabulous week full of Digit-al Dozen designs!! Today is also one of the last two remaining relaxed 31 Day Challenge days - inspired by a tutorial - so I got to mix the theme of Love & Heartbreak with a tutorial. I present vampy heart-shaped half-moons inspired by this heart-shaped tape tutorial from The Beauty Department; I only did one row of the heart shape, but I like it more this way!

These were mega fun to do! I haven't used binder reinforcement stickers (you know, the circle ones with the circle cut out of the middle?) in a mani in a really long time, and I had forgotten how awesome they are because they flex to the shape of your nail/finger much easier than any ol' tape or sticker. I'm currently using HK Girl topcoat and I think it dries much faster than SV, so it's been helpful for manis that need multiple layers like this one. I generally like HK Girl because it doesn't get thick on me like Seche Vite does (at least not so far, knock on wood!) but the HK Girrrrrl totally does gives me shrinkage occasionally and is generally less glossy than SV. You win some, you lose some right?

Yay! I like these nails! I feel like they give off the perfect vibe somewhere between love and anti-love, which is exactly what I was going for. If you're curious about any of the colors, just ask in the comments and I will let you know!

Don't forget to check out the other Love & Heartbreak manis below! I predict another super fun week.

And check out the 'inspired by a tutorial' manis below, too.

Can't believe we're finally arriving at the LAST relaxed 31 Day Challenge prompt tomorrow!!
