Digit-al Dozen + TGIF: Dollish Polish Random Dancing

This week's TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! is partnering up with Digit-al Dozen and presents you with Random Dancing by Dollish Polish. Random Dancing is one of the TV-inspired series from Dollish Polish, and it comes from the show iCarly. Dollish describes the polish as "A full rainbow of various size and shape glitter to make what's commonly referred to as "circus glitter" is literally a party in a bottle!" I really like this glitter because it includes square glitter (everyone's fave) and because it is different from typical 'rainbow' polishes. I layered it over two coats of SH Insta-Dri Barely Beige.

I know other, older versions of this were sort of sparse and took a lot of patience. I got this bottle fairly recently and found it very easy to use. I only needed one coat for all the glitter you see here! I was thinking of doing what Kirsten does and layer 1 to 4 coats, respectively, on each nail but I just didn't feel like I needed more than one coat. Important to note: this polish ever so slightly tints your base color purple. Probably impossible to tell in photos, but noticeable when you are painting and haven't finished all the nails yet. While this doesn't bother me at all in terms of application or final look, it does make me a smidgen worried that perhaps some of the glitter will eventually bleed off their color and that is never a pretty sight. We'll just have to wait and see!

Then I stamped some lines on (using my DRK-A plate, smushy XL stamper from Ninja Polish, and a semi-opaque at 1 coat black polish) to make my nails look like abstracted sheet music. I really liked the idea of sheet music with all of the colorful 'notes' spread out all over!! With hindsight perhaps the glitter should be on top of the music bars, too.

Now I'm curious, do you have this polish? Love it, hate it, meh it? I think it's really fun and easy to use! Yay!

Dollish Polish is available on her website ($8.75), Llarowe ($11) and OverallBeauty ($9). You can view updates and new colors on the Dollish Polish Facebook page! She just restocked her Big Cartel store today, but I'm not sure what's left.

Don't forget to check out Kirsten's TGIF post over at Geeky Owl! Her link is below in the inLinkz along with the other Digital Dozen ladies.
