Here is my 'inspired by a song' manicure inspired by the Klaxon's song Gravity's Rainbow, but specifically, I like the Steve Aoki remix of it
I thought this was a great way to use one of my untried Lynnderella's - Shape Shifter. So I did two coats of Barry M black, then taped off little bits and did a quick coat of Blackout by Icing, then finally I just tapped on some of Shape Shifter. My bottle has a wonky brush, and I want to say something witty in regards to how the polish is so luxurious and essentially htf, but I'll leave that drama for elsewhere on the internet [!!!!]
This mani is okay. I don't love it, and I was hoping for a lot more 'wow'. It's meant to be all artsy-fartsy, with rainbows falling around (because LOL Galaxy's Rainbow, get it?) Icing's Blackout is such a bore for me, and I will be purging it from my stash as I have way way too many 'black with little sparkly bits in it that is somehow sheer and unimpressive on the nail' polishes. Shape Shifter is really very pretty, though, but I think it would look nicer on a less stark background.
Please enjoy this bottle shot and don't forget that several other ladies are better at time management and completed this challenge already! Lynnderella is currently distributed by Llarowe; there are also some other indie polish companies that could satisfy your lemming for funky shaped holo glitter combos - check out Lacquistry's And Miles to Go Before I Sleep and Pretty and Polished's GBF

DeleteI like it! I love how that one star is just sitting there by himself saying "look at me! love me!" :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I know, right? Poor lonely star! There are lots of other shapes in there, but they're hard to fish out - bars, hex, round, hearts, stars, oh my!
